How to Reach Us

By Road

The most convenient way — a scenic drive through pine-lined mountain roads.

From Shimla, take the Hindustan-Tibet Road (NH-5) towards Kufri and turn off at Mashobra. The drive from Shimla takes approximately 30 minutes. From Chandigarh, take NH-5 via Kalka and Shimla — allow 3.5 to 4 hours. From Delhi, the drive via Chandigarh takes 8–9 hours. Taxis and cabs are readily available from Shimla bus stand and railway station.

By Train

Arrive at Shimla via the iconic Kalka–Shimla toy train, a UNESCO World Heritage route.

The nearest major railhead is Kalka (96 km from Shimla), well connected to Delhi, Chandigarh, and other cities. From Kalka, board the heritage Kalka–Shimla narrow-gauge train — a scenic 5-hour journey through 102 tunnels and 864 bridges. From Shimla Railway Station, hire a taxi or cab to Mashobra (approx. 35 minutes, 14 km).

By Air

Fly into Jubbarhatti Airport (Shimla) for the quickest arrival.

Jubbarhatti Airport (SLV) is located 28 km from Vanam Mashobra and has limited scheduled flights from Delhi and Chandigarh. The nearest major airport is Chandigarh International Airport (IXC), 120 km away, with wider connectivity. From either airport, pre-booked taxis or cabs are the best onward option to Mashobra.

By Helicopter

Sanjauli Helipad is the closest helipad, just 25 minutes away.

Sanjauli Helipad in Shimla is approximately 10 km from Vanam Mashobra. Helicopter services operate seasonally between Chandigarh and Shimla. From the helipad, a taxi to Mashobra takes around 25 minutes. Please contact us in advance if you are arriving by helicopter and we will arrange a pickup.
